Gurgaon as a smart city

Sep 29, 2012, Gurgaon, The conference was attended by 150 delegates from across Resident Welfare Associations, Corporates, Citizen and business associations and residents of Gurgaon. The dignitaries who addressed the conference were Shri Rao Dan Singh, Honourable Minister of State for Town and Country Planning / Education,   Dr Praveen Kumar, HUDA Administrator and Nisha Singh, Councillor, Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon. Senior heads of corporations from Tata Delhi Distribution Ltd, Earth Infrastructure Developers, Artemis, Rapid Metro, KPMG, Power Grid Corporation of India, Oracle, Schneider Electric and ITC Group also participated as speakers. The speakers and delegates expressed concerns as well as hope and optimism about the development of the city. 

The one-day conference focused on holistic development of Gurgaon. The key session topics were New Infrastructure Initiatives, Technologies for Future, Improving Electricity Scenario, Promoting Solar, Green Homes and Office Buildings, Solving Traffic Issues and Water Conservation. The delegates and speakers discuss and deliberate on how Gurgaon could move to the next level in terms of infrastructure, using resources more optimally, improving administrative processes and functions efficiently and responding to emergency services.
