The objective of Josh Talks was to inspire audiences towards positive action. It brought city’s six personalities and their compelling life stories on centre-stage. Through the life stories, positive messages of courage, conviction, hope, spirit and enthusiasm were given to the audiences.
More than 250 participants attended Josh Gurgaon. These were mostly school and college students as well as youngsters from corporate houses, citizen groups, NGOs attended the event. The speakers for the event are Nisha Singh (Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon Councillor), Manoj Kohli (MD, Bharti Enterprises) , Deep Kalra ( Founder, Makemytrip.com), Neeti Palta ( a stand-up comedian), Vinita Singh( Trustee, We the People) and Navin Gulia ( author and motivational speaker). They are all from diverse backgrounds but those who have broken frontiers and risen against challenges in their respective fields. The event also has two performances as well to keep it lively and vibrant. Sachin Ghakkar, an upcoming singer of Gurgaon launched the programme through popular inspirational songs while Search Years NGO conducted a street play.
The programme’s objective is to motivate them towards positive action and facilitate them in meaningful engagements as a volunteer to help Gurgaon become a better city.
Gurgaon First is a Citizen Forum that actively engages Gurgaon stakeholders on city’s issues. In its two years of existence, Gurgaon First has conducted 16 workshops for the city including on waste management, electricity, water management, smart city, green buildings, improved local governance and women safety.
