POSH Workshop

Gurugram, July 8, 2026: Gurgaon First conducted an interactive workshop on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) at SOCH Hall, Rajiv Gandhi Renewable Energy Centre, Sector 29, Gurugram.

The workshop brought together 15 participants representing corporates, educational institutions and non-governmental organisations, reflecting the growing recognition that creating safe and respectful workplaces is a shared responsibility across sectors.

The session was led by Shubhra Puri, Founder, Gurgaon First, who provided participants with a practical understanding of the POSH Act, including its legal framework, employer responsibilities, the role and functioning of Internal Committees (ICs), complaint redressal mechanisms, and the importance of fostering a workplace culture based on dignity, equality and respect.

A highlight of the programme was the special address by Dr. Aditi Kaushal Bharadwaj, widely known as “Dr. POSH”, one of India’s leading POSH experts. She shared practical insights drawn from her extensive experience, addressed participants’ questions, clarified legal and procedural aspects of the Act, and participated in an engaging panel discussion that encouraged open dialogue on workplace challenges and best practices.

To reinforce learning, Gurgaon First conducted a short interactive quiz that tested participants’ understanding of key provisions of the Act and practical workplace scenarios. The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants.

Speaking on the occasion, Shubhra Puri said, “POSH compliance is not merely about meeting a legal requirement. It is about building workplaces where every employee feels safe, respected and empowered. Awareness and regular training are essential to creating that culture.”

The workshop is part of Gurgaon First’s ongoing efforts to promote safer, more inclusive and legally compliant workplaces through awareness programmes, capacity building and stakeholder engagement.
