Gurgaon First Foundation (GFF) conducted a two-hour interactive sustainability workshop at RPS International School, Sector 50, Gurugram, on July 7, 2026, engaging around 100 students from Grades VI and VII.

The workshop was led by Shubhra Puri, Founder, Gurgaon First, along with sustainability trainers Sangeeta Nayyar, Waste Warrior and Trustee, Aravalli Bachao Citizen Movement, and Kahkasha Makrani from Raahgiri Foundation.

The session introduced students to some of today’s most pressing environmental challenges, including climate change, waste management, water conservation, air pollution, renewable energy, sustainable mobility, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through interactive discussions, games, and practical examples, students were encouraged to understand how their everyday actions can contribute to building a more sustainable future.

The workshop is part of Gurgaon First Foundation’s ongoing initiative, supported by Nagarro to conduct sustainability awareness programmes across schools in Gurugram between July and December 2026. The initiative aims to nurture environmentally responsible behaviour among young citizens, encourage community engagement, and inspire students to become sustainability ambassadors within their schools and neighbourhoods. Dr Puja Sharma, Principal of RPSInternational School said that such workshops are quite valuable and should be conducted on a regular basis.
